Benton County Cattleman's Annual Banquet, November 19

We hope this post finds everyone having a safe and successful harvest. The 2022 Annual Banquet is Saturday, November 19th at the Turner Hall in Keystone. Social is at 5:30 pm followed by a meal at 6:00 pm.Bobby's Grocery and BBQ will be catering the banquet again this year and we're looking forward to another wonderful meal. An auction will follow the meal as in previous years and proceeds will go to youth programs in our county.

Trinity Lutheran Church Drive up Lunch Thursday 11-1

Trinity Lutheran Church will once again be holding its to-go lunch. Drive Up Lunch Thursday, October 20th, 11 am - 1 pmThis week's menu includes Pulled Pork Sandwich, Cheesy Potatoes, Cookies or Bar, and drink;  $9.Pull up to the kitchen door on the south side of the church and someone will be out to wait on you.Funds are being raised for new flooring in our kitchen.

Urbana Fire Department Breakfast October 30

Come one...come all! Please join us on October 30 beginning at 7:00 a.m. for a spook-tacular pancake breakfast. Pancakes(regular, blueberry and chocolate chip) sausage, ham, eggs, hashbrowns, biscuits & gravy, fruit, milk, orange juice and coffee. All you can eat for a free will donation. Proceeds go to the Urbana Fire Department general operating fund.

The 80's Were Killer! Vinton Aquatic Club to hold Murder Mystery November 4

The Vinton Aquatic Club is going to host a Murder Mystery event on November 4 at the Vinton Country Club located at 314 North 9th Avenue Vinton. All money will go directly to subsidize the cost for families. Shellsburg Presbyterian Church drive-thru lunch Oct. 22

Shellsburg Presbyterian Church is holding a drive-thru lunch with harvest in mind. This Saturday, October 22 from 11-2. The church is located at 300 Main East Street in Shellsburg.The menu includes pulled pork or chicken sandwich, choice of sides and choice of desserts. Water and utensils provided and all packaged per order for pickup. Ready for you to deliver to the field or table.

Shellsburg American Legion Fall Fish Fry October 28

The Shellsburg American Legion will serve its Annual Fall Fish Fry on October 28 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.All you can eat dine in or carry out!Fish, baked potato, salad bar, juice, or coffee.Adults $15Children ages 5-10 $8Ages 4 and under FREE

The VFW Post 8884 will hold a Pork Loin Supper on Wednesday, October 19 from 4-7:00 p.m. The menu will include Pork Loin, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans with Bacon, Dessert, Coffee/Soda/Water. $10.

2022 Vinton Fire Dept Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser SUNDAY, OCTOBER 16, 7-noon

Stop at the Vinton Fire Department on Sunday, October 16, 2022 between 7:00 a.m. and noon. Join us at the Fire Station for a breakfast of pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, ham, biscuits n' gravy after celebrating Fire Prevention Week 2022!Tickets are $8/person available at the door; preschool and under are free. Proceeds will be added to our savings for several upcoming big projects.

Shellsburg American Legion Breakfast Saturday, 8-10 a.m.

The Shellsburg American Legion Saturday morning breakfast is held each Saturday. The hours are 8 - 10 am.
